Cherie Bera – Clinical Psychology Resident

B.Sc. in Psychology (UMAN), M.Sc. in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology (UCL)

Cherie is a doctoral student in Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at California School of Professional Psychology (Hong Kong). Cherie is a fourth generation Singaporean with a European ethnic background. Cherie has been in Hong Kong for three years. Cherie has devoted her entire tertiary education in the United Kingdom (BSc in Psychology at University of Manchester, and MSc in Psychoanalytic Developmental Psychology at
University College London) and subsequent numerous years of work experience in Singapore at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital’s Department of Child Development (“KKH-DCD”). KKH-DCD is a referral centre for the assessment and management of children in their preschool years that have developmental and behavioural delays. Cherie returns to SPOT where she was initially trained after completing a clinical training semester at The Independent Schools Foundation.

At SPOT, Cherie is dedicated to administering assessments and is also available for psychotherapy with kids and adults. She is interested in psychodynamic therapy in treatment. Her dissertation interest concerns with the psychology of infertility, particularly pertaining to its impact on men.
