Assessments Provided

This is a comprehensive list of assessments that the Clinical Psychology team provides.

We may add or supplement different assessments depending on need.

 

Full Psycho-Educational Assessment:

4 hours with child (may be longer or shorter depending on age and ability and may be broken up into several days)

IQ: WPPSI IVWISC V or WAIS- V (depending on age)

Achievement: WIAT- III

Social and Behavioural: BASC parents and teacher (2 parents and 3 teachers)

Adaptive: Vinelands III

Executive Functioning: Delis Rating of Executive Functions (D-REF™)

Emotional: Beck Depression Inventory and Beck Anxiety Inventory (for children ages 7 and up)

Adaptive: Vinelands III

Report: Comprehensive findings, Background, Conclusions, assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses, Diagnosis, and Recommendations (about 20-30 pages), Plus Appendices of Assessment Findings

Debrief: with parents AND CHILD AND TEACHERS (should parents want to invite)

 

Abridged Psycho-Educational Assessment

Report: Abridged findings, Conclusions, Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses, and Diagnosis (about 10 pages), Plus Appendices of Assessment Findings

Report sent via email 

 

Autism Spectrum Assessment:

3 hour parent interview: ADI 

1-2 hour child interview: ADOS

Adaptive: Vinelands III

Report: Comprehensive findings, Background, Conclusions, Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses, Diagnosis, and Recommendations (about 20-30 pages)

Debrief with parents AND TEEN (not younger children) 

 

Abridged Autism Spectrum Assessment:

3 hour parent interview: ADI 

1-2 hour child interview: ADOS

Report: Comprehensive findings, Conclusions, Assessment of Strengths and Weaknesses, Diagnosis, and Recommendations (about 10 pages)

Assessment sent via email 

 

IQ Assessment:

2 hours with child

WPPSI IVWISC V or WAIS- V (depending on age)

Report: Only IQ write up with summery – No Diagnosise, Recommendations or Conclusions (about 10 pages)

Results reviewed with parents the same day as assessment

Report sent via email 

 

Specific Learning Differences Profile (Comprehensive Psycho-Educational, Occupational, and Speech and Language Assessment):

3 individual assessments from 3 disciplines synthesized into one cohesive report

(Occupational Therapist, Speech and Language Therapist and a Doctoral Psychologist)

IQ: WPPSI IVWISC V or WAIS- V (depending on age)

Achievement: WIAT- III

Social and Behavioural: BASC parents and teacher (1 parent and 1 teacher)

Adaptive: Vinelands III

Occupational Therapy Assessment: Movement ABC / Sensory Profile or Sensory Processing Measure / Developmental Test of Visual Perception / Detailed Assessment of Speed of Handwriting (as appropriate). May also consider Sensory Integration and Praxis Tests in some cases.

Speech and Language Assessment: Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals Preschool / Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals / Test for Auditory Comprehension of Language / Preschool Language Scales / Goldman-Fristoe Test of Articulation

Report: Comprehensive findings, Background, Conclusions, Aassessment of Strengths and Weaknesses, Diagnosis, and Recs (about 20-30 pages), Plus Appendices of Assessment Findings

Debrief: with assessment team, parents AND CHILD AND TEACHERS (should parents want to invite)
