Dr Bernadette Wong is a Chinese Canadian who lived in Canada for almost 10 years and worked in management for over a decade. She worked in the field of psychology in several nonprofit organizations, community health centers, as well as residential home for children and providing therapy to children, teenagers, adults, couples and families. She also conducts group therapy sessions, workshops and psycho-educational seminars. She also provide mental and emotional assessment for children and adult.
Dr Wong is also a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, who utilizes eclectic psychotherapy approach such as Psychodynamic, Somatic Experiencing, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Satir Model, Hypnotherapy, Structural Family, Humanistic, Emotional Focus, etc., depending on the needs of clients. She is also a Somatic Experiencing practitioner, who worked well with complex trauma and complicated grief and bereavement issues.
She believes in working with and empowering individuals to develop new coping strategies that will improve and enhance their lives. Practice interests include mood and attachment issues, anxiety and depression disorder, personality, adjustment and stress management, grief and loss, issues relating LGBTQIA, and trauma. Dr Wong works with kids, adolescents, adults, couples and families.
During her free time Dr. Wong loves baking and enjoys spending time with friends, family and her lovely chihuahua.
