This camp is designed for children with dyslexia and literacy delays. The camp will provide an explicit and structured literacy approach using the Orton-Gillingham program and following the International Dyslexia guidelines based on evidence-based practise. Children will participate in three lessons each morning, focusing on spelling, reading and writing in small groups.
Orton-Gillingham is a multisensory structured literacy approach for students of all ages, who struggle in reading, writing and spelling.
Although Orton-Gillingham instruction benefits all students, it is especially helpful for children with dyslexia, auditory processing, memore, reading and language difficulties. Children will be grouped based on their academic level on the first day.
