DESCRIPTION:Get set for a confident start to the new school year with Ready\, Set\, School!\,a school-prep camp designed for children\, who benefit from small-group support in building the foundational skills needed for classroom success Led by certified Occupational Therapists\, this engaging and supportive camp mirrors real classroom routines while integrating therapeutic activities that promote self-regulation\, fine motor development\, and independence in activities of daily living.\nIn a small-group setting\, children will build confidence as they practice transitioning between tasks\, managing materials independently\, and participating in structured group routines. \nAreas of Focus:\n– Practicing essential functioning skills for school such as fine motor coordination\, handwriting\, gross motor control\, and visual perceptual abilities\n– Building tolerance for structured tasks such as circle time\, tabletop work\, and following classroom routines\n– Increasing independence with school-related tasks\, including carrying a backpack\, managing lunch/snack containers\, and organizing materials\n– Developing regulation strategies through the use of movement breaks\, calming routines\, and sensory tools\n– Practicing smooth transitions between activities with visual and verbal cues\n⁠- Encouraging peer interaction and cooperative play to build social confidence in a classroom-like setting \nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT One Island South\, 10/F\, Unit 1021-25\, 2 Heung Yip Road\, Wong Chuk Hang\nWhen? Monday August 4 to Friday August 8 at 10:00am to 12:00pm for 4-6 year olds\nHK$8\,300 per camp. \nThe group is run by Occupational Therapists Harriet Kan and Sandy Ng. \nPlease note:\nPayment for group must be made in full prior to first session. In order to maintain the group numbers consistency\, there will be no refund or make up sessions offered unless a doctor’s certificate is provided. \n \n
