We offer two levels of school readiness group:

Kindergarten readiness skills – for children entering or returning to kindergarten: Through play, your child will learn to be regulated in a small group setting, follow semi-structured activities and built in routines, handling transitions, standing in line and circle sitting. They will be engaging in activities that develop social skills, team work, following instructions, answering questions, identifying common feelings, sharing ideas and expressing their emotions, simple fine and gross motor skills and early literacy.

School readiness skills – for children preparing for their first year in primary school: The focus will be on self-regulation, response inhibition, holding information in mind, shifting between activities/pausing mid-activity, handling transitions, standing in line, circle sitting, listening to peers, answering questions on topic, following instructions with four or more steps, writing and cutting activities and managing toileting needs.
