SUMMARY:School Readiness - Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:This group will focus on school readiness and preparation for children entering or returning to kindergarten and primary school. Through play\, your child will learn to be regulated in a small group setting\, follow semi-structured activities and built in routines\, handling transitions\, standing in line and circle sitting. The children in the group will be engaging in activities that develop social skills\, team work\, following instructions\, answering questions\, identifying common feelings\, sharing ideas and expressing their emotions\, simple fine and gross motor skills and early literacy. \nSchool readiness helps with:\n– Difficulties socialising\n– Meltdowns due to separation from parents\n– Building up independent skills\n– Delayed play skills\n– Understanding perspective taking \nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT One Island South\, 10/F\, Unit 1021-25\, 2 Heung Yip Road\, Wong Chuk Hang\nWhen? Monday August 11 to Friday August 15 at 9:00am to 10:30am\nHow much? HK$5\,750 for one camp (five sessions).\nAges 3-5 years. \nThe School Readiness group will be run by Joice Almeida (speech and language therapist). \nPlease note:\nPayment for group must be made in full prior to first session. In order to maintain the group numbers consistency\, there will be no refund or make up sessions offered unless a doctor’s certificate is provided.
