DESCRIPTION:This music therapy pre-school playgroup put a focus on child empowerment and regulation. It allows children to feel confident to express themselves and learn how to identify new emotions and social skills. \nWe practice sharing\, singing\, instrument playing\, body movement and mindfulness to encourage self-regulation. When we validate a child’s emotions\, we allow a child to express themselves in a safe environment. This positive acknowledgement allows children to become more aware of their emotions and body\, which can help reduce or de-escalate reactions to big emotions. \nOur music therapist works with you and your child to promote overall well being. This can include practicing social\, physical\, emotional and cognitive skills through therapeutic musical methods. \nDoes your child:\n– show signs of anxiety or stress?\n– struggle to relax?\n– have love self esteem or confidence?\n– find making friends challenging?\n– have trouble calming down after big emotions?\n– experience a developmental delay? \nMusic is an effective tool that can inspire and develop both verbal and non-verbal communication skills. DESCRIPTION:This group will allow children to practice valuable and concrete skills in a creative way. The aim is to support their executive functioning skills such as impulsivity\, emotional regulation\, focused attention\, flexibility in thinking. and many more. \nOur executive functions helps up to regulate and organise our bodies to essentially “get stuff done”. Strategies such a self talk\, thinking ahead\, mindfulness and others can help a child to do just this.  In our group your child may travel back in time in our Time Machine to analyses a past decision or freeze and look into our looking glass to make a future plan based on the task’s physical and emotional demands. \nThey will each create their own concentration station and work towards independently talking a number of fun tasks/challenges using the new skills they are taught in group. They will learn about tools such as emotion potions\, supersonic listening goggles and many more to help them on their way. \nDetails:\nWhere? Strategies such a self talk\, thinking ahead\, mindfulness and others can help a child to do just this.  In our group your child may travel back in time in our Time Machine to analyses a past decision or freeze and look into our looking glass to make a future plan based on the task’s physical and emotional demands. \nThey will each create their own concentration station and work towards independently talking a number of fun tasks/challenges using the new skills they are taught in group. DESCRIPTION:This music therapy pre-school playgroup put a focus on child empowerment and regulation. It allows children to feel confident to express themselves and learn how to identify new emotions and social skills. \nWe practice sharing\, singing\, instrument playing\, body movement and mindfulness to encourage self-regulation. When we validate a child’s emotions\, we allow a child to express themselves in a safe environment. This positive acknowledgement allows children to become more aware of their emotions and body\, which can help reduce or de-escalate reactions to big emotions. \nOur music therapist works with you and your child to promote overall well being. DESCRIPTION:This group will allow children to practice valuable and concrete skills in a creative way. The aim is to support their executive functioning skills such as impulsivity\, emotional regulation\, focused attention\, flexibility in thinking. and many more. \nOur executive functions helps up to regulate and organise our bodies to essentially “get stuff done”. Strategies such a self talk\, thinking ahead\, mindfulness and others can help a child to do just this.  In our group your child may travel back in time in our Time Machine to analyses a past decision or freeze and look into our looking glass to make a future plan based on the task’s physical and emotional demands. \nThey will each create their own concentration station and work towards independently talking a number of fun tasks/challenges using the new skills they are taught in group. They will learn about tools such as emotion potions\, supersonic listening goggles and many more to help them on their way. \nDetails:\nWhere? This can help prevent conflicts from escalating and damaging relationships. \nDevelopment Of Empathy\nEmpathy is the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. It’s a key component of emotional intelligence and a vital social skill. Tweens learn to put themselves in others’ shoes and respond with compassion. This can help them build deeper and more meaningful relationships. \nIncreased Accountability\nAccountability is about taking responsibility for one’s actions. It’s a sign of maturity and a crucial social skill.\nIn this group\, tweens learn to own up to their mistakes and make amends. This can help them build trust and respect in their relationships \nImproved Friendship Building Skills\nBuilding and maintaining friendships is a complex social skill that involves a combination of other skills like communication\, empathy\, and conflict resolution In this group\, tweens learn to form meaningful connections with their peers and maintain these relationships over time.
