DESCRIPTION:This Reading and Writing group supports children in building foundational literacy skills. Instructors are Speech and Language Therapists trained in literacy intervention programs (Orton-Gillingham or Sounds-Write) and have extensive experience working with students with various needs. \nAreas of Focus include: \n\nLetter knowledge and recognition (phonics)\nBlending\nSound manipulation\nSpelling\nWord decoding skills\nReading comprehension\nWriting mechanics (eg. capitalization\, punctuation)\nParagraph writing\nStyles of writing\n\nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT Kowloon Bay\, 1501A Eastmark\, 21 Sheung Yuet Road\, Kowloon Bay\nWhen? Tuesday: 3:45pm and 5:15pm / Wednesday: 4:30pm / Thursday: 4:00pm\nHow much? 1\,100HKD per 75 mins session\nFor 5–6\, 7–8 and 9–10 years old\n3-4 students per session\nRun by Abi Chan and Chloe Wong. \n\n\n\nPlease Note:\nA minimum of 6 sessions must be paid in advance. We do not offer refunds\, unused sessions will be held as credit for future use. For illness with less than 24 hours’ notice\, a doctor’s note is required to receive credit. Note that credit applies to planned absences\, but same-day cancellations are not eligible. \n\n\n\n \n
