SUMMARY:Connections: Support Group for Young Adults
DESCRIPTION:A group for adolescents who are are working on positive self-talk and looking for others who are dealing with dissociative feelings\, depression\, and/or anxiety. \nThis support group will help like-minded teens address shared feelings of distress and disassociation and build coping skills and a community of resilience and acceptance. \nDetails:\nWhere? Online. The link will be sent prior to the start of a session\nWhen? Tuesdays at 1am London time / 9am HK time / 12 pm Sydney time (Mondays at 8pm New York time)\nHow much? 1\,100HKD per session\nAges 18-30 years. \nRun by Dr. Amanda Oswalt-Visher (clinical psychologist) and co-facilitators. \nPlease note:\nA minimum of 6 sessions must be paid in advance. We do not offer refunds\, unused sessions will be held as credit for future use. For illness with less than 24 hours’ notice\, a doctor’s note is required to receive credit. Note that credit applies to planned absences\, but same-day cancellations are not eligible. Groups and pairings may be co-facilitated by graduate interns\, university students\, and/or teen mentors to provide extra 1:1 support. All participants complete an interview process and police records check. If you have questions or concerns\, please let your group leader know.
