DESCRIPTION:This summer\, step into a world of prehistoric play and purposeful learning with Jurassic Buddies\, a summer camp designed for children who benefit from small-group support in developing social communication\, self-regulation\, and sensory processing skills.\nGuided by certified Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists\, this dynamic\, dinosaur-themed camp provides a warm and supportive environment where children can strengthen vital developmental skills through imaginative\, hands-on activities.\nEach day will include exciting dino-themed experiences like fossil digs\, cooperative games\, sensory exploration stations\, creative crafts\, and group missions—all carefully crafted to align with therapeutic goals while keeping the fun front and center. \nAreas of Focus:\nOccupational Therapy Goals\n– Co-regulation and self-regulation skills\n– Expanding play ideas\n⁠- Exploring sensory-based strategies to support emotional regulation\, body awareness and attention\nSpeech Therapy Goals\n– Turn-taking and collaborative communication\n⁠- Building friendships and social connection\n⁠- Following and staying with the group plan\n⁠- Strengthening reasoning and problem-solving skills in social scenarios and group tasks\n– Enhancing conversational skills with peers\, including topic maintenance\, initiating conversation\, and reading social cues \nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT Central\, 17/F\, Wing’s Building\, 110-116 Queen’s Road Central\, Central\nWhen? Monday to Friday at 10:30am to 12:00pm\nJuly 7-11 for 3-4 year olds & July 14-18 for 5-7 year olds\nHK$6\,750 per group (5 sessions) \nThe group is run by Occupational Therapist Natalie Cheng and by Speech Therapist Joyce Yan. \nPlease note:\nPayment for group must be made in full prior to first session. In order to maintain the group numbers consistency\, there will be no refund or make up sessions offered unless a doctor’s certificate is provided.
