DESCRIPTION:Creative music therapy for infants and family. The music sessions are designed to support regulation\, family bonding with positive auditory input. A mix of singing\, instrument playing and momochord improvisation are offered in a gentle nurturing environment. \nThe intervention is suitable for infants:\n– Born prematurely\n– Signs of developmental delays\n– Birth injuries\n– Additional needs \nMusic therapy sessions for families with infants under 18 months offer a safe and soothing space to support:\n– Brain development\n– Strengthening sucking and feeding rhythms\n– Stabilising heart rates\n– Relieving pain and stress\n– Family relaxation \nDetails:\nWhere? Children must be accompanied by an adult. \nRun by Music Therapist Claudia Jones. \nPlease note:\nPayment for group must be made in full prior to first session. In order to maintain the group numbers consistency\, there will be no refund or make up sessions offered unless a doctor’s certificate is provided.

DESCRIPTION:Being gifted comes with its own set of challenges. Often individuals feel isolated and misunderstood. Gifted individuals may have trouble navigating their expectations (perfectionism and procrastination)\, especially if there is an asynchronicity in skills (high IQ but difficulties with EQ). \nThis group focuses on self-esteem\, social skills\, conflict resolution and leadership with like-minded individuals. \nThe group provides a safe environment for individuals to share their thoughts and tensions about the week and receive support and guidance from their peers and the therapist. \nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT Central\, 14/F\, 1402 China Building\, 29 Queen’s Road Central\nWhen? Wednesdays at 5:40pm-6:30pm for ages 16-19 years\nHow much? 1\,100HKD per session.\nMinimum 3 children. \nThe group is supervised by Dr. Amanda Oswalt-Visher. \nPlease Note:\nA minimum of 6 sessions must be paid in advance. We do not offer refunds\, unused sessions will be held as credit for future use. For illness with less than 24 hours’ notice\, a doctor’s note is required to receive credit. Note that credit applies to planned absences\, but same-day cancellations are not eligible. Groups and pairings may be co-facilitated by graduate interns\, university students\, and/or teen mentors to provide extra 1:1 support. All participants complete an interview process and police records check. If you have questions or concerns\, please let your group leader know.
