DESCRIPTION:This group aims to foster social skills and theory of mind through role-playing and interactive games such as Mystery and Detective games\, as well as tabletop games\, scavenger hunts\, and escape rooms. The program is designed to increase self-esteem\, turn-taking\, sportsmanship\, problem-solving skills\, and frustration tolerance. All while having fun with friends and finding clues and solving mysteries. \nAreas of Focus:\n– Improved Communication Skills\n– Development of Empathy\n– Enhanced Conflict\n– Resolution Skills\n– Increased Accountability\n– Improved Friendship\n– Building Skills\n– Enhanced Problem-Solving Skills \nDetails:\nWhere? SPOT Central\, 14/F\, 1402 China Building\, 29 Queen’s Road Central\nWhen? Thursdays 4.45-5.35pm\nHow much? 1\,100HKD per group session\nAge range from 9-16 years. \nRun by Dr. Amanda Oswalt-Visher and co-facilitators. \nPlease note:\nPlease Note: A minimum of 6 sessions must be paid in advance. We do not offer refunds\, unused sessions will be held as credit for future use. For illness with less than 24 hours’ notice\, a doctor’s note is required to receive credit. Note that credit applies to planned absences\, but same-day cancellations are not eligible. Groups and pairings may be co-facilitated by graduate interns\, university students\, and/or teen mentors to provide extra 1:1 support. All participants complete an interview process and police records check. If you have questions or concerns\, please let your group leader know.
