This group will focus on school readiness and preparation for children entering or returning to kindergarten and primary school. Through play, your child will learn to be regulated in a small group setting, follow semi-structured activities and built in routines, handling transitions, standing in line and circle sitting. The children in the group will be engaging in activities that develop social skills, team work, following instructions, answering questions, identifying common feelings, sharing ideas and expressing their emotions, simple fine and gross motor skills and early literacy.<\/p>\n

School readiness helps with:<\/strong>

\n– Meltdowns due to separation from parents
\n– Building up independent skills
\n– Delayed play skills
\n– Understanding perspective taking<\/p>\n
