Jenessa earned her Master of Speech Language Pathology from the University of Sydney and is a certified practising member of Speech Pathology Australia and member of the Hong Kong Association of Speech Therapists. She is a certified provider of Hanen More Than Words and SOS Approach to Feeding, and has also received training for DIR Floortime 101 and Natural Language Acquisition intervention. She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

In Hong Kong, Jenessa has worked at a non-governmental organisation with children of various diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, Global Developmental Delay, language disorders, and more.

Jenessa strongly believes in the importance of advocating for children and their caregivers as well as helping them advocate for themselves. She is also passionate about creating a fun and inclusive environment for them to develop new skills at the pace and in the manner that is right for them.
