Kathleen spent her childhood in Hong Kong before moving to California. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Business Economics and took an opportunity in the fashion industry to move back to Hong Kong. After 12 years as an entrepreneur, her passion for positive psychology led her to pursue a career in psychotherapy.

Kathleen earned her Master of Counselling degree from Monash University, Australia. She is a member of the Hong Kong Professional Counselling Association (HKPCA) and holds certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) and PREPaRE Crisis 1 and 2 (NASP). Kathleen brings extensive experience from private practice and international school settings.

Kathleen originally joined SPOT in 2019. She initially joined the assessment team, focusing on a diverse range of psychoeducational assessments, including social communication and specific learning differences. She then continued to provide individual and school counselling as a member of the counselling team. Subsequently, Kathleen joined the Canadian International School of Hong Kong (CDNIS) as a middle school guidance counsellor before returning to SPOT in the summer of 2026.
Kathleen works with children, adolescents, parents, and families navigating challenges such as anxiety, life transitions, grief, depression, interpersonal relationships, body image, self-worth and self-esteem. She provides a client-centered approach to therapy, integrating evidence-based interventions to deliver tailored, non-judgmental, goal-oriented and supportive care for every client.
