Jessica completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) in Adelaide at the University of South Australia. Following her degree she remained in Adelaide to specialise in paediatrics at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Since finishing her formal training as a Physiotherapist, she has worked in paediatrics for over 16 years.

Her time working in Adelaide provided a wide range of experience in a multitude of clinical areas. She gained expertise in the treatment of children born prematurely, and those with developmental and gross motor delay. She also spent time in the hospital’s paediatric rehabilitation department, treating acquired and congenital disabilities, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries and children with cerebral palsy. As well as considerable experience in treating neurodevelopment, she has expertise in neonatal intensive care, special care nursery, hydrotherapy, and gross motor skill training. Her experience includes individual and group therapy sessions, while treating a range of children from premature babies through to adolescents. She has also supervised, trained and mentored paediatric physiotherapy students and colleagues.

Jessica has been working as a Physiotherapist at SPOT since 2013, and as Clinical Director from 2017. She thoroughly enjoys interacting with children and their families, and is a firm believer in empowering them to collectively participate in their own therapy journey. She is an advocate of early intervention, and through therapy, strives to improve a child’s ability to function and engage in daily life.
