Melody achieved her Occupational Therapy degree at Curtin University Australia. After graduation she then spent a year working with elders, but gradually found herself being more passionate to work with children. As a result, prior to moving back to Hong Kong, she then spent two years working in paediatrics and has gained extensive knowledge in working with kids, especially kids with special education needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, fine motor and handwriting difficulties, gross motor difficulties, developmental delay and sensory processing disorders. She is specialised in working on emotional regulation, independence and social skills.

Melody strongly believes in family centred practice which she always ensures caregivers are also involved within service delivery, including but not limited to organising regular catch ups to provide constructive feedback and suggestions. Melody has also had multiple paediatrics volunteering experiences in Australia, Cambodia and Hong Kong working with children.

Being raised in Hong Kong and having studied abroad in Australia, Melody is fluent in Cantonese, English as well as Mandarin. Melody is able to accommodate to the family’s needs to ensure transparent and effective communication is in place.

Outside of work, Melody enjoys playing the piano, baking and hiking. She is also currently exploring new hobbies – yoga and tennis!
