An abridged assessment is either the Psychoeducational OR the Social Communication assessment. We recommend this assessment when a child needs a re-assessment. Please note that the child’s previous report must have been completed within the last 2 years. In some cases, where a child’s initial assessment was tailored or shortened, an abridged assessment may not be recommended.
An abridged assessment can also be used for school admissions applications, or gifted program applications.
What’s included?
-
Pre-assessment parent-only meeting (50 mins)
-
The standard in-clinic testing is included (e.g., the cognitive and academic testing OR the Social Communication tools)
-
Family questionnaires
-
School questionnaires
Important Notes:
-
An abridged assessment does not include a family nor a school debrief.
-
An abridged assessment report will still include all results, interpretations, diagnosis (if applicable), and recommendations as per standard.
-
If you would like to add a debrief, please let us know and we can help you organise a debrief at an additional charge (same as a clinical session but prices vary depending on clinician).
