When is a tailored assessment recommended?
A tailored assessment is typically recommended to accommodate children with more complex needs. In some cases, a tailored assessment can be used to decrease costs for families, however, we would not recommend tailored assessments in lieu of a standard assessments if we feel results may be inconclusive.
Tailored assessments can also be used by adults who are wanting to find out more about themselves.
School applications if your child already has a previous assessment, including updated direct scores from the assessment itself. Please note that interpretations, conclusions and diagnoses cannot be made with this report, but they will give you an idea of the child’s progress since the last report.
Additional testing to our standard packages:
-
At times, our psychologist may recommend additional testing tools to the Full Psychoeducational or the Social Communication assessments.
-
If your psychologist recommends further testing (e.g., OT or SLT tests), they will confirm the cost & reason for testing as soon as possible. You are free to decide how to proceed.
-
In order to keep costs low, we recommend undertaking any additional testing via OT or SLT at the same time as a Psychoeducational or Social Communication assessments. We have organised the package in a way to ensure that you are spending less on a tailored assessment than if you were to do the assessments one at a time.
Important Notes:
-
Please note that if we feel a tailored assessment is not the best way to assess your child, we will let you know.
-
We will always provide you with information on pricing so you can decide how to proceed. Once you confirm your decision with us, we will book you in for the assessment.
